Dear self, how do I love you 

let me count the ways, I love

swaying this body of imperfection and 

wide hips/ soft lumps with joy 

/with laughter /with sensuality 

in front of the mirror /in the shortest of shorts 

all by your accompanied self 

Have I told you how fine

your unrelentless ambition is

many men have confused it for materialism made them /insecure /made you too much/

I see the truth in you your need

/for freedom /to be fulfilled 

It’s been a long road to this love

This/

undying desire for myself 

worship 

kindness and value 

We smile more at each other now

and it couldn’t be more /godly
